Configure a User Defined Field
Prerequisites:
Requires permission Setup: User Defined Fields to configure. Review About User Defined Fields concept and field reference topics.
To edit or create a User Defined Field (UDF) in the General section of the Setup area:
- Select a UDF and click Edit; or click Add to create a new UDF.
- Name the UDF.
- Select the desired Data Type.
- Type a meaningful and concise description for the selected UDF in Help Text. Max 500 characters.
- Click Save. The UDF will be visible in the person profile tab.
