Person General Tab

The General tab contains basic user data that identifies who the person is, such as Name, Payroll ID, Phone, Address, Login, and Password.

The information contained in the General tab is typically visible to all user levels. Security Permission settings in Setup control the ability to view or edit areas in the General tab.

Best Practice: Most organizations grant users the ability to manage their contact information to prevent missed job opportunities, and potential grievances due to invalid contact information.

Dimensions Integrations: Modifying the person’s Employee ID is not allowed for Dimensions Integrated users. This field value will appear blank and cannot be changed when multi-edited.

Customers using Dimensions must manage certain fields in Dimensions which is the system of record for those fields. Review People; People Information; Dimensions Sources; Person General Field Descriptions; and Profile Field Descriptions for additional information.
